To create a device which can convert common PC data signals((Firewire, USB, Ethernet, Serial?)) to a Fiber Optic Carrier. The device could be  inserted between the communication line of a PC(host) and Gadget(client). The device would offer a simple solultion to significantly improve communication line distance for many PC/data applications.
